The CenterPoint outage tracker of course isn't working. Probably by design.

poweroutage.us just gives numbers and thankfully it's already down to 520k without power as of 9:15PM last night. It doesn't tell you where.

Son gets married next weekend. Church, Reception, Hotels are all good to go. The rehearsal dinner venue is still waiting on power.

Anyone know of a different power outage tracker that I can access?

Even more interesting, we went out to eat dinner in an area that has power and it worked, when we got home to spring branch with no power, it doesn't.

It is hit-or-miss. It worked a few times last night, but I haven't gotten it to work yet today.

The GIS takes a long time to load but if you're patient, it will usually update eventually

Centerpoint doesn't seem to be working at all at the moment. "Down for site maintenance"

centerpoint's website only works when there aren't any outages.
WARNING: I have a deep-seated desire for others to love the Star Wars franchise as much as I do, in exactly the way I do, and get snippy and sensitive and passive-aggressive when they don't.

I'd say due to the size / number of power outages CP has taken it down.

So when people need it the most, they take it down. Par for the course.

They finally changed it to just a single.number of customers without power without the map.

Someone is probably updating it manually as it takes them a while. But the number as of now is 449,811. Down about 8,000 over the last hour.

Our section of Oak Forest was hit pretty hard.

We're some of the unlucky ones that get our power from that main 345kV line that is down. Yippie.

But, even if they get that main line working, the transformer that serves our house is sitting in our neighbor's backyard two doors down. Gonna be a loooooong while for us.

Just got down to my MIL's in Clear Lake to wash clothes and warm showers. We've been here less than 30 minutes and I already want to shoot myself.

Is this good progress? I have no idea.

Outages due to storms can't be tracked due to storms…

Grateful they really went after the grid damage on 99 and west. Got it turned back on around 330.

With all the new manpower in the area, things seem to be progressing pretty quickly now.

Down to 419k.

Leave the wife and kids there while you have to go back to clean up debris and bourbon.

What a *****.

Perhaps she'd be happier with a tree in her living room.

Tons of lineman out there working.

What have not seen yet is much Xfinity or AT&T. But as more area gets power hopefully they get going quickly.

There were 40-60 guys working at 99 and West on teh collapse infrastructure every time we drove by the last few days. They kicked some ass IMO.
